Detailed Description

Flies expressing vnKK108432 under the control of Scer\GAL4sd.PU exhibit wing vein phenotypes. There is loss of L4, L2 and the anterior crossvein. Less severe vein loss is seen when vnKK108432 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL469B.

Expression of vnKK108432 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO from immediately after hatching onwards (using mifepristone to control the timing of expression) results in significantly reduced olfactory learning ability in third instar larvae. These larvae show normal gustatory preference responses to fructose and to quinine.

Expression of spiHMS01120 does not enhance the wing vein phenotypes seen when vnKK108432 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4sd.PU.

Expression of spiJF03322 does not enhance the wing vein phenotypes seen when vnKK108432 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4sd.PU.

Co-expression of vnKK108432 suppresses the intestinal stem cell hyperproliferation seen in flies expressing rkGD15 under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B.

Expression of vnKK108432 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU suppresses the intestinal stem cell hyperproliferation seen in BursZ5569/BursZ5569 mutants.
