UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Adulthood-only expression of CkIIαGL00003 under the combined control of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf and Gal80[ts] (induced by temperature shift from 19[o] to 25[o]C at eclosion) leads to a significant decrease in aggressive behavior, as compared to controls.
Females heterozygous for CkIIαGL00003 and MTD-Gal4 (consists of Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16) crossed to CkIIαGL00003 males results in: no eggs; egg/embryonic phenotype: no vitellogenic egg chambers; oogenesis defect.
CkIIαGL00003, Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf is a non-suppressor of abnormal behavior | adult stage phenotype of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf, slgAUAS.A
CkIIαGL00003, Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf, slgAUAS.D has abnormal behavior | adult stage phenotype
CkIIαGL00003, Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf, slgAUAS.E has abnormal behavior | adult stage phenotype
Adulthood-only co-expression of either slgAUAS.D or slgAUAS.E in combination with CkIIαGL00003, under the combined control of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf and Gal80[ts] and induced by temperature shift from 19[o] to 25[o]C at eclosion, leads to a significant increase in aggressive behavior compared to controls, and contrasts with the decreased aggressive behavior of CkIIαJF01436 or CkIIαGL00003 single expressions.
