Expression of Tsc1GL00012 in cardiac muscle under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR88D05 has no effect on pupal eclosion rates. Expression of Tsc1GL00012 in skeletal muscle under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B has no effect on pupal eclosion rates.
When expressed with "MTD-GAL4" (which comprises Scer\GAL4nos.PG, Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 and Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16) in females that were starved for amino acids, then there is a marked increase in the number of degenerating (apoptotic) young egg chambers, compared to controls.

Expression of Tsc1GL00012 driven by Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 significantly suppresses the ovary growth defect but not the inappropriate accumulation of autolysosomes seen in Wdr241/Wdr241 flies.
Co-expression of Tsc1GL00012 rescues the small ovary phenotype resulting from Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16-mediated expression of Akt1HMS00007.
