The clearance of the paternal mitochondrial derivatives is mildly delayed in embryos derived from females expressing Atg1GL00047 under the simultaneous control of Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16.
Females heterozygous for Atg1GL00047 and Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 crossed to Atg1GL00047 males results in: 0% hatching; egg/embryonic phenotype: "anterior head defect, variable"; maternal effect.
Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001-mediated expression of Atg1GL00047 results in persistent PI3K signalling in the midgut at +2h relative puparium formation, as assayed by localization of P{tGPH} or phospho-Akt1. Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001-mediated expression of Atg1GL00047 severely delays midgut removal.
