Expression of gbb^HMS01243 under the control of Scer\GAL4^A9 depletes the tissue of wing vein L5 and the posterior crossvein and reduces wing size.

The adulthood-only expression of gbb^HMS01243 (using Gal80[ts] for the temporal regulation of expression) under the control of either Scer\GAL4^esg.PU or Scer\GAL4^Acp26Aa.PC does not significantly affect the size of either main cell or secondary cell nuclei, as compared to controls.

Down-regulation of gbb in Pdf-positive neurons, through expression of gbb^HMS01243 under the control of Scer\GAL4^P2.4.Pdf induces strong locomotor arrhythmicity. Expression of gbb^HMS01243 under the control of Scer\GAL4^tim.PE and suppressed in Pdf-positive cells through the presence of Scer\GAL80^Pdf.PS results in some rescue of the arrhythmic phenotype.
