Expression of StamHMS01429 RNAi under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU in somatic clones induced specifically in the eye results in moderately reduced adult eye size compared to controls.
Embryos derived from females expressing StamHMS01429 under the simultaneous control of Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 show a significant delay in the clearance of the paternal mitochondrial derivatives compared to wild type.
Females heterozygous for StamHMS01429 and MTD-Gal4 (consists of Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16) crossed to StamHMS01429 males results in: 78% hatching; non-maternal effect.
