| Nature of the lesion | Statement Reference Scer\UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a synthetic version of Antp which lacks the N-terminal domain. The protein consists of a YPWM motif which has been mutated to AAAA and the homeodomain, followed by a truncated C-terminal domain (lacking the terminal 14 residues). The naturally occurring long linker (8 amino acid residues) is present between the mutated AAAA motif and the homeodomain. A T:Avic\GFP[EGFP] tag has been fused to the C-terminal end of the protein. | ||

Detailed Description
| |||
Statement Reference Expression of Antp[Synth.AAAA.LL.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] under the control of Scer\GAL4[nullo.PG] does not result in transformation of head to mesothorax and the prothoracic beard is present. Mild head defects such as abnormal development of the mouth hook are seen.
Expression of Antp[Synth.AAAA.LL.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP] under the control of Scer\GAL4[Dll.PU] results in no transformation of the antenna or only a mild thickening of the arista with a few ectopic leg bristles on the third antennal segment. | |||
