Flies expressing Unr^{Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^en.PU exhibit reduced viability compared to controls. Lethality occurs before the third instar larval stage and males are more severely affected than females. When the temperature is increased to 29[o]C females are still present but male lethality is 100%.

Expression of Unr^{Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP} under the control of Scer\GAL4^Act5C.PI results in lethality at the third instar larval stage for both males and females.

Expression of Unr^{Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP} in the salivary gland under the control of Scer\GAL4^Sgs3.PD results in loss of banding in polytene chromosomes and decondensation of the X chromosome in males compared to controls. The phenotype is more severe at 25[o]C than at 18[o]C. No abnormalities are seen in females.
