UvragB21 homozygous clones within a mosaic adult midgut epithelium show a severe increase in cell number compared to control clones.
Homozygous mushroom body gamma neurons show a pruning defect, with the unpruned larval axons being retained into adulthood.
Autolysosome formation appears normal in UvragB21 mutant fat body clones in starved larvae. No accumulation of autophagosomes is seen. Autolysosomes are formed and are similar in shape to controls. However unlike controls more advanced stages of degradation are never seen in UvragB21 mutant cells.
Eyes entirely composed of UvragB21 mutant cells (generated using the GMR-hid method) are lighter in color compared to controls.
