      Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16-mediated expression of jvScer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP leads to the formation of an ectopic actin network surrounding the nurse cell nucleus. This has no effect on female fertility or embryo development.

      Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU-mediated expression of jvScer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP partially rescues the swollen bristle tip and fused posterior scutellar bristle phenotypes of jv1 and jv1/jvc03230 flies. Bristle ridges are more pronounced, though ridges still do not run parallel to each other.
