Expression of lidGL00612 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 in female germlines results in sterility and abnormal morphology of the karyosome in most oocytes.

Scer\GAL4nos.PU driven knockdown of lidGL00612 leads to a significant decrease in germline stem cell (GSC) number, a significant increase in average hub area, and a decrease in mitotic activity of GSCs in the testes compared to wild type.
