Detailed Description

Reference

Homozygous clones in the adult eye have cuticle protrusions in the retina. Homozygous clones in the third larval instar eye disc completely lack photoreceptors, overgrow and have smooth borders.

Homozygous clones in the wing blade differentiate ectopic bristles.

Homozygotes die primarily during embryogenesis and early larval stages, but show no obvious cuticle patterning defects.
