Comment: Stronger expression in males.
ScerGAL4ppk23.2.6 drives expression in pairs of chemosensory neurons in the forelegs, middle legs and hind legs of both males and females. The number of neurons labeled in male forelegs is significantly higher than in females. Most of the male foreleg neurons labeled with ScerGAL4ppk23.2.6 also express EcollexAfru.P1.T:HsimVP16. Expression of ScerGAL4ppk23.2.6 also labels the axonal projections of the chemosensory neurons in the thoracico-abdominal ganglion. These projections are sexually dimorphic: midline crossing is observed only in males.
