Wing blade area is reduced by 11.5% in homozygous Pkc53EEY14093 mutant males compared to wild type. Approximately 50% of flies show ectopic wing veins. Flies homozygous for Pkc53EEY14093 show <1% of ommatidia with extra R7 photoreceptor cells
One copy of Pkc53EEY14093 has no effect on hemocyte proliferation in third instar larvae.

One copy of Pkc53EEY14093 significantly enhances the ectopic wing vein phenotype seen in sl2 homozygotes. One copy of Pkc53EEY14093 enhances the percentage of sl2 mutant ommatidia that contain extra R7 photoreceptors. The number of R7 cells per ommatidium is also increased.
