Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Flies expressing one copy of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] have slightly larger eyes than normal, while flies expressing two copies of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] have a highly disorganised eye. Expression of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] results in an increase in the number of interommatidial bristles without significantly affecting the number of pigment cells when assessed at 42% pupa development.

Expression of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] greatly suppresses the reduced eye size caused by W[GMR.PG]. Expression of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] suppresses the reduced eye size caused by rpr[GMR.PH]. Co-expression of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] suppresses the increased number of apoptotic cells seen posterior to the second mitotic wave and in the posterior region of the eye disc in the zone of compensatory proliferation in eye discs expressing W[GMR.PG]. Expression of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] suppresses the small eye phenotype caused by W[Ala5.GMR]. Further suppression is seen if the flies are also heterozygous for either aos[Δ7]/+ or Gap1[mip-w+]/+. Animals expressing Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] in a aos[Δ7]/+ or Gap1[mip-w+]/+ background show a 25% increase in pigment cell number when assessed at 42% pupa development. Expression of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] suppresses the small eye phenotype caused by W[Ala5.GMR]. Further suppression is seen if the flies are also co-expressing SH3PX1[KK100618]. Co-expression of either Hsp26[KK106347] or Magi[GD10066] further reduces the size of the eye in a W[Ala5.GMR], Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb], Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] background. Co-expression of drk[KK109233] in a W[Ala5.GMR], Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb], Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] background results in flies with eyes that are greatly reduced in size. Co-expression of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] and yki[Scer\UAS.cHa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] results in a massively overgrown eye.Co-expression of Ack[Scer\UAS.cSb] and yki[Scer\UAS.cHa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU] results in a massively overgrown eye.
