      Expression of BdbtNIG.17282R under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 leads to mis-oriented trichomes (wing hair) in the proximal region of the wing when compared to control adults.

      Expression of BdbtNIG.17282R under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 leads to disrupted trichome polarity with trichomes emerging from incorrect cell edges and swirling towards the anterior-posterior boundary when compared to control pupal wings. Its expression also leads to disrupted trichome polarity in adults.
