Expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of an insertion of Scer\GAL4GMR9D11 that expresses in ase[-] immature Intermediate Neural Progenitors (INPs) (P{GMR9D11-GAL4}2) results in supernumerary type II neuroblasts in larval brains. No supernumerary neuroblasts are seen when kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 is expressed using an insertion of Scer\GAL4GMR9D11 that only expresses in ase[+] INPs (P{GMR9D11-GAL4}attP2).

Clones derived from single type II neuroblasts expressing kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA mostly contain supernumerary neuroblasts.

Expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA results in a massive expansion of type II neuroblasts in the brain, while the number of type I neuroblasts does not increase compared to wild type.

Expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in type II neuroblast lineage clones induces supernumerary neuroblasts, while expression in type I neuroblast lineage clones does not.

Expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 in immature intermediate neural progenitors under the control of Scer\GAL4erm.R9D11 results in the formation of supernumerary type II neuroblasts.

The formation of supernumerary neuroblasts which is seen in clones derived from single type II neuroblasts expressing kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA is partially suppressed if the clones are also mutant for arm8.

The formation of supernumerary neuroblasts which is seen in clones derived from single type II neuroblasts expressing kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA is suppressed if the clones are also co-expressing Apc2Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP.

Co-expression of bratScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC suppresses the formation of supernumerary type II neuroblasts which is seen in type II neuroblast lineage clones expressing kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP.

The premature loss of neuroblasts seen in N55e11 type II neuroblast clones is completely suppressed by expression of kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP. Supernumerary neuroblasts are not induced in these clones.

Type I neuroblast clones in the larval brain co-expressing kluScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 and Nintra.GS.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP contain an average of 18 neuroblasts per clone and 100% of the clones show the supernumerary neuroblast phenotype.
