      Expression of aldScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 results in a pronounced mitotic delay during metaphase of mitosis 14, as evidenced by a strong enrichment of metaphases figures. This phenotype is seen when expression levels of ald are 5 fold higher than endogenous levels, but are not seen when levels are only three times normal levels.
