Scer\UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of the DsRed form of Disc\RFP. A genomic fragment containing an miRNA cluster (includes the mir-9c, mir-306, mir-79 and mir-9b pre-miRNA hairpins) has been inserted into the Disc\RFP 3'UTR.

Expression of P{UAS-DsRed-mir-9c+mir-306+mir-79+mir-9b.L} under the control of Scer\GAL4[Bx-MS1096] results in spoon shaped wings. Expression of P{UAS-DsRed-mir-9c+mir-306+mir-79+mir-9b.L} under the control of Scer\GAL4[ptc-559.1] does not result in a mutant phenotype. Expression of P{UAS-DsRed-mir-9c+mir-306+mir-79+mir-9b.L} under the control of Scer\GAL4[sd-SG29.1] results in curved wings with disruptions in the wing margin.
