UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Expression of enokHMS02165 under the control of the triple Scer\GAL4nos.PG, Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16 driver does not cause nurse cell endoreplication defects.
Scer\GAL4VP16.nanos.UTR/enokHMS02165, Scer\GAL4VP16.otu, Scer\GAL4nanos.PG is a suppressor | partially of abnormal endomitotic cell cycle | adult stage phenotype of Scer\GAL4VP16.nanos.UTR, Scer\GAL4VP16.otu, Scer\GAL4nanos.PG, elg1HMC03187
Scer\GAL4VP16.nanos.UTR/enokHMS02165, Scer\GAL4VP16.otu, Scer\GAL4nanos.PG is a suppressor | partially of nurse cell phenotype of Scer\GAL4VP16.nanos.UTR, Scer\GAL4VP16.otu, Scer\GAL4nanos.PG, elg1HMC03187
The underreplicated nurse cell phenotype characteristic for flies expressing elg1HMC03187 RNAi under the control of the triple Scer\GAL4nos.PG, Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16 driver is partially suppressed by co-expression of enokHMS02165 RNAi. The nurse cells are still underreplicated but the nuclei are relatively bigger and the cells display higher ploidy levels (they show peaks at at all levels between 64C-1024C) compared to females expressing elg1HMC03187 alone (show peak only at 64C). Some egg chambers from the double knock-down animals develop beyond stage 9 with morphologically normal nurse cells.
