      Comments

      Expression of staitub.PB partially rescues the posterior paralysis "tail-flip" phenotype seen in staiB200 mutant larvae. The onset of the bang-sensitive phenotype is delayed and less severe, with only 6% of flies exhibiting this phenotype compared to 76% in staiB200 mutants alone. The mean recovery time is reduced from ~77 seconds to ~40 seconds. Average lifespan is increase to ~69 days.

      Expression of staitub.PB partially rescues the reduction in lifespan seen in staiB200/Df(2L)Exel6015 mutant larvae. Average lifespan is increased to ~65 days.

      Expression of staitub.PB partially rescues the phenotypes seen in homozygous stairdtp mutants. The posterior paralysis "tail-flip" phenotype is rescued, but the lethality is not.

      Expression of staitub.PB rescues the altered morphology of individual axons within segmental nerve bundles of staiB200 mutant larvae.

      The presence of staitub.PB reduces the occurrence of observed synaptic retractions and the reduction in bouton number seen in staiB200 mutants from 70% to 10%.
