Continual expression of mir-263bUAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4mir-263b-Δ-G4 leads to decreased circadian rhythmicity and circadian power under constant dark, as compared to controls; there is also a lack of morning anticipation activity under light-dark cycles, as compared to controls. Adulthood-specific expression under the additional control of Gal80[ts] also leads to a decrease in circadian rhythmicity compared to controls; this phenotype is not clearly induced by expression only during development.

Continual expression of mir-263bUAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4mir-263b-Δ-G4 disrupts the circadian plasticity of sLNv dorsal projections: while controls exhibit more axon terminal branches at ZT2 than at ZT14 under light-dark cycles or dark conditions, mutants present similar number of axon terminal branches at (presumptive) ZT2 and ZT14, which are similar to ZT14 in controls. Acute expression for 6h during adulthood under the additional control of Gal80[ts] also disrupts the circadian plasticity of sLNv dorsal projections, as there are fewer axon terminal branches at ZT2, compared to controls.

Expression of mir-263bUAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4Pdf.PU does not seem to affect circadian rhythmicity, circadian power under constant dark, or morning anticipation activity under light-dark cycles, compared to controls.

Expression of mir-263bScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in flies with blistered and crumpled wings and an almost complete lack of veins.
