Expression of one copy of Mmus\Dlk1SM.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 results in occasional scutellar bristle duplications, and this phenotype is more penetrant with two copies of the transgene. Occasional wings have wing notching. Both of these effects are considerably enhanced at 30[o]C. Fewer cells are seen between L3 and L4 wing veins, and these cells are larger than normal. Cell number is further reduced upon expression of two copies of Mmus\Dlk1SM.Scer\UAS. In the larval wing disc, an increased number of sens-positive sensory-organ precursors is seen in the clusters that go on to form the chordotonal sensory organs of the dorsal and ventral radius.

One copy of N55e11 enhances the wing notching and ectopic bristle phenotypes seen when Mmus\Dlk1SM.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 at 25[o]C. Neither the decrease in number nor the increase in size of the cells between the L3 and L4 wing veins shows any enhancement.
