The expression of Zzzz\CTGi480.UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW leads to significant decreases in lifespan, adult climbing ability and flight distance, associated with a significant decrease in indirect flight muscle area, as compared to controls.

Expression of Zzzz\CTGi480.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in external eye morphological phenotypes, including disorganized ommatidia and mechanosensory bristles, resulting in a glossy eye phenotype.

Expression of Zzzz\CTGi480.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B results in significant defects in larval locomotion, as compared to controls.

Expression of Zzzz\CTGi480.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in eye neurodegeneration.

Expression of Zzzz\CTGi480.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PU results in a significant decrease in muscle area in dorsoventral sections of the thorax, and increased apoptosis and autophagy in adult muscle after induction via heat shock, as compared with controls. Co-expression of mbldsRNA.Scer\UAS enhances the eye defects caused by expression of Zzzz\CTGi480.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU : eyes are smaller and rougher and show ommatidial fusion and occasionally contain necrotic dots.

Co-expression of Hsap\MBNL1Scer\UAS.cGCa suppresses the eye defects caused by expression of Zzzz\CTGi480.Scer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4sev.PU.
