Expression of NijAScer\UAS.cBa under the control of either Scer\GAL4tub.PU or Scer\GAL4Act.PU results in embryos dying with morphological abnormalities around the time of cellularisation.
Larvae expressing NijAScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ lack nearly all Hml-expressing hemocytes, both in circulation and in the lymph gland. The lymph glands stain with acridine orange, indicating cell death. TUNEL labelling indicates that the cell death is not due to apoptosis.
NijAUAS.cBa, Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ has increased cell death | larval stage phenotype, non-suppressible by BacA\p35UAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ
NijAUAS.cBa, Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ has embryonic/larval lymph gland | larval stage phenotype, non-suppressible by BacA\p35UAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ
Co-expression of BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cUa does not suppress the cell death seen in the lymph glands of larvae expressing NijAScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ.
