Expression of Vha44Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 in the wing disc in an anterior stripe at the boundary with the posterior compartment results in a unidirectional migration of these cells into the posterior compartment. It appears that cells close to the boundary are extruded basally and then move towards the posterior compartment. A significant proportion of the cells are positive for apoptotic markers.

Expression of Vha44Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in overgrowth of the dorsal compartment of the wing disc.

Expression of Vha44Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PU results in overgrowth of the wing pouch of the wing disc.
