Conditional expression of Bper\ptxATn10\tetO.cCa in mature virgin females under the control of the doxycyclin-inducible Tn10\tetRM2.alt.Scer\UAS.T:Hsim\VP16 in the eye using Scer\GAL4GMR.PF does not alter their post-mating behaviour.

Conditional expression of Bper\ptxATn10\tetO.cCa in mature virgin females under the control of the doxycyclin-inducible Tn10\tetRM2.alt.Scer\UAS.T:Hsim\VP16 in Scer\GAL4ppk.PG and Scer\GAL4dsx.KI patterns inhibits their response to injected SP, resulting in mating and egg laying similar to virgin females.

Conditional expression of Bper\ptxATn10\tetO.cCa in mature virgin females under the control of the doxycyclin-inducible Tn10\tetRM2.alt.Scer\UAS.T:Hsim\VP16 in Scer\GAL4fru.P1.D patterns inhibits egg laying post-mating, but these females, similarly to controls, still reduce receptivity in response to mating.

In the presence of Scer\GAL4Orco.2.642.T:Hsim\VP22, Tn10\tetRM2.alt.Scer\UAS.T:Hsim\VP16, addition of doxycycline results in suppression of electroantennogram amplitude in response to 10[-4] ethyl acetate by ~40%.
