Individuals expressing AGO1HMC03509 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP6267, induced one day prior to infection with Pseudomonas entomophila, show a significantly smaller increase in midgut mitosis at day 0; there is also a decrease in the number of AGO1HMC03509-expressing cells in the midgut.

Expression of AGO1HMC03509 under the control of Scer\GAL421-7 results in class IV dendritic arborizing neurons that exhibit a reduction in mean terminal dendrite length. Frequency of dendrite-dendrite crossing over is similar to controls.
