Expression of RbfD253A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 results in wing notches. The level of apoptosis in larval wing discs is increased compared to controls.

Expression of RbfD253A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PM results in wing notches. Ectopic tissue is seen next to the hinge of the wing in up to 30% of Scer\GAL4vg.PM>RbfD253A.Scer\UAS flies. The level of apoptosis in larval wing discs is increased compared to controls, including in the wing pouch. When RbfD253A.Scer\UAS is expressed in the posterior wing disc under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU an increase in proliferation is observed both autonomously and non-autonomously, as increased proliferation is seen in both the posterior wing disc and near the anterior-posterior border.

When RbfD253A.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc.PU the proliferation is seen in normally non-proliferative cells in the ZNC area of the wing disc.
