Cardiac-specific (Scer\GAL4^tin.CΔ4) overexpression of p53^Scer\UAS.cUa causes significant slowing of heart period and structural cardiac defects (similar to those seen in Scer\GAL4^tin.CΔ4>Scox^GD898 flies).
