Description

A crb-PA coding sequence containing Ser to Ala mutations in all seven rumi target sites has been knocked in to a founder knockout line containing an attP site. The mutated crb gene contains a Tag:HA tag, which is inserted after the last EGF repeat and before the transmembrane domain.

      crb1-7-HA homozygotes and crb1-7-HA/crb11A22 flies are viable and do not show any gross abnormalities when raised between 18 and 25[o]C. Rhabdomere morphology and spacing and the formation of the inter-rhabdomeral space is normal in these animals.
