      Knocking down the fwe lose-A and lose-B isoforms through expression of fwedsRNA.Scer\UAS.Lhp under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in an almost complete reduction in the physiological peripheral photoreceptor cell death seen in control pupae.
