Expression of acalScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL469B in a wild type background has no dorsal closure effects. Flies expressing acalScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 show no lethality or overt phenotypes.

Expression of two copies of acalScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in an increase in the frequency of thoracic clefts in adult flies compared to controls. No phenotypes are observed with one copy of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237.
