The expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa induces a small eye.

The expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO during adulthood (induced by RU486 feeding) are short lived and show decreased activity and increased sleep.

Expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU leads to motor dysfunction (climbing assay) and degeneration, necrotic patches, and depigmentation in the eyes.

The expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF external eye degeneration including ommatidial fusion, bristle disorganization, depigmentation, and necrotic patches.

The expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.Scer\UAS leads to a rough eye phenotype (Scer\GAL4GMR.PF-driven expression) and to significant decreases in both larval locomotor activity in crawling assays (Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS-driven expression) and adult locomotor activity in climbing assays (Scer\GAL4da.G32-driven expression), as compared to controls.

The expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4CCAP.PI leads a significant decrease in the axonal transport of both mitochondria (i.e. a significant decrease in retrograde transport and a significant increase in the stationary fraction) and (NPY-positive) vesicles (i.e. a significant decrease in anterograde transport and a significant increase in the stationary fraction), in third instar larval motor neurons, as compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Toll-6-D42 does not lead to any changes in larval or adult locomotion (in climbing and crawling assays, respectively), as compared to controls.

Expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in eye-degenerative phenotype.

Constitutive expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.Scer\UAS in the eye using Scer\GAL4GMR.PU causes eye degeneration. Increasing expression levels of the pure repeats by increasing the temperature leads to lethality.

Adult-onset expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO (in combination with RU486 treatment) kills all flies by 30 days after eclosion.

The co-expression of SF2GD12097, but not of Ref1KK109076 or Ref1GD4683, fully suppresses the rough eye, fully suppresses the decreased adult locomotor activity, and partially suppresses the decreased larval locomotor activity induced by the expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF, Scer\GAL4da.G32, and Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS, respectively.

The decreases in both larval and adult locomotor activity induced by the expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS and Scer\GAL4da.G32, respectively, are suppressed by the co-expression of sbrHM05135.
