A two base deletion results in a frameshift and the loss of the C-terminal 185 amino acids of EMC1 as well as introduction of novel amino acids RTVRGQESGKQQCLEFLASSANAPRGAPVLYTAHNS. The deletion was mapped to 3R:3729838-3729839 in Release 5 coordinates.
