      Mutants do not show strong phenotypes during larval stages under well-fed conditions: the levels of stored nutrients are not reduced, development is not delayed, size is not reduced. In contrast, mutant pupae and adults have strongly reduced TAG and glycogen levels and are extremely sensitive to starvation. If mutant larvae are grown on food with reduced nutrients (25% that of normal), then they display 50% lethality. Mutants are not sensitive to oxidative stress.
