Description

UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of an Aβ peptide (3-43). The Hsap\APP sequence in the construct is codon-optimized for expression in Drosophila melanogaster. A consensus Drosophila melanogaster translation start site is used. The signal sequence used in the construct is Tag:SS(rPENK).

      Flies expressing Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS>Hsap\APP3-43.Scer\UAS.T:Rnor\SS-PENK show a slight decrease in locomotor activity compared with wild-type.
