The NMJs in sgg^J11 mutant leg motor neuron clones display altered morphology, with variability in the size and shape of active zones and enlarged boutons.

sgg^J11 has no effect on the Wallerian Degeneration (programmed destruction of distal severed axons) seen in wild type wing axons following axotomy.
