Ecol\lexAVP16.Gr64f extensively, but not completely, overlaps with Scer\GAL4Gr64f.9.7, driving expression in a couple more neurons in the labellar and prothoracic taste bristles than the latter. Ecol\lexAVP16.Gr64f drives expression in 6 gustatory receptor neurons associated with the taste pegs and 4 gustatory receptor neurons of the adult labral sense organ. All of these labellar neurons and many of the tarsal S cells send projections to the adult subesophageal zone.
