The RMCE cassette of the Mi{MIC}SNF4AγMI09417 insertion has been replaced with a Trojan-Gal4 cassette. The insertion is in a coding intron of some of the annotated transcripts of SNF4Aγ (predicted to gene trap the gene) and in an intron of the 5' UTR of some of the other annotated transcripts of SNF4Aγ.
Scer\FLP1Scer\UAS.cUa;SNF4AγMI09417-FF.PT-EGFP/SNF4AγMI09417-TG4.1 flies (using the Scer\GAL4SNF4Aγ-MI09417-TG4.1 driver inherent in the SNF4AγMI09417-TG4.1 allele to drive the flippase and thus inactivate expression from the SNF4AγMI09417-FF.PT-EGFP allele by inverting the 'flip-flop' insertion it contains) die as poorly developed pupae and are slim and elongated in the larval stage relative to controls.
In lethality complementation tests the SNF4AγMI09417-TG4.1/Df(3R)e-R1 and SNF4AγMI09417-TG4.1/SNF4AγMI09417 flies are lethal but SNF4AγMI09417-TG4.1/SNF4AγMI09417-FF.PT-EGFP are viable.
