Inhibition (using Ctet\TeTxLC[TNT.UAS]) of neurons targeted by the split-GAL4 pair of Scer\GAL4^DBD.R75H10 and Hsap\RELA^AD.R10B07 in larvae significantly reduces navigation away from higher wind speeds, compared to controls, with no effect on movement speed in the absense of wind stimuli; turn rate and size of turns are similar to controls; the probability of the first head sweep being away from stronger wind is significantly reduced, compared to controls.
