Inhibition (using Ctet\TeTxLC[TNT.UAS]) of neurons targeted by the split-GAL4 pair of Scer\GAL4DBD.VT048348 and Hsap\RELAAD.VT026700 in larvae significantly reduces navigation away from higher wind speeds, compared to controls; movement speed in the absense of wind stimuli is also significantly reduced, compared to controls; turn rate and size of turns are similar to controls; the probability of the first head sweep being away from stronger wind is significantly reduced, compared to controls.
