The expression of yki^{UAS.cXa.Tag:FLAG} under the control of Scer\GAL4^Mef2.PR leads to premature compaction of indirect flight muscle during pupal development (24h APF); fiber hyper-compaction at 32h APF coincides with a chaotic organization of the myofibrils.

Adults expressing yki^{UAS.cXa.Tag:FLAG} under the control of Scer\GAL4^nub-AC-62 display significantly bigger wings, as compared to controls. Wing discs expressing yki^{UAS.cXa.Tag:FLAG} under the control of Scer\GAL4^ap-md544 do not show an indentation at the wing disc epithelium dorsal-ventral boundary, as compared to controls.

Wing disc clones expressing yki^{UAS.cXa.Tag:FLAG} under the control of Scer\GAL4^Tub.PU occupy a significantly larger disc area than control clones.
