Scer\GAL4R42G02 drives expression in a epithelium of the proboscis and head, faintly in a dorsal thoracic muscle and in the macrochaetae of the clasper and lateral plate of the male, the base of the ejaculatory bulb, and a subcuticular epithelium of the female terminalia.
Thermogenetic activation (using TrpA1UAS.(B).cKa at 27[o]C) of Scer\GAL4R42G02 cells in adult virgin females significantly reduces copulation within 10 min of introduction to a male, compared to baseline, unlike controls.
