Expression of taudsRNA.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4NP0863, Scer\GAL4GMR13F02, Scer\GAL4Mef2.247, Scer\GAL4c305a or Scer\GAL4c739, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage, significantly increases aversive olfactory 24 h memory following spaced training, compared to controls; in the case of Scer\GAL4GMR13F02 and Scer\GAL4c739, there is no effect on 3 min memory, compared to controls; in the case of Scer\GAL4c739, there is no effect on the odor preference switch when conditioned odors are reversed (reversal learning), compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4NP0863, Scer\GAL4GMR13F02, Scer\GAL4Mef2.247, Scer\GAL4c305a, but not Scer\GAL4c739, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage, results in a significant failure to habituate to electric shocks, compared to controls.
