UASp regulatory sequences drive expression of polo that carries a K54M amino acid replacement, resulting in a kinase-dead form of the protein. The coding sequence is tagged at the C-terminal end with GFP. Synonymous codon replacements have been introduced into the transgene, so that it is insensitive to RNAi mediated by P{GD7563}.
