During follicle stage 9 neither weak expression of Rnor\Itpka9-40.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-tdTomato in the germline under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16, or expression in the soma under the control of Scer\GAL4c355 causes any apparent defects in F-actin within either the soma or the germline. When Rnor\Itpka9-40.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-tdTomato is expressed using strong germline drivers (Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 or Scer\GAL4osk.T:Hsim\VP16) aberrant early F-actin filaments and, at a low frequency, aggregates are sometimes observed. S10B follicles expressing Rnor\Itpka9-40.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Disc\RFP-tdTomato are generally normal in morphology and F-actin structures.
