Expression of MadTRiP.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 results in the loss of distal parts of the L3, L4 and L5 wing veins and a decrease in wing size.

Expression of MaddsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of both Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B and Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 for 8 days leads to a dramatic increase in mitotic cell numbers in the posterior midgut as compared with sibling controls.

Expression of MaddsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR24H06 for 8 days leads to a dramatic increase in mitotic cell numbers in the posterior midgut as compared with sibling controls.

Expression of MaddsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 has no effect on mitotic cell numbers in the posterior midgut as compared to sibling controls.

Expression of MaddsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 always results in a mutant wing phenotype (even if the flies are also expressing MadScer\UAS.cNa). The wings are smaller than normal show loss of vein tissue. Many wings also have ectopic sensilla on the anterior crossvein, L1 and L3 veins and have dorsal chemosensory bristle duplications.
