	Many TM3 chromosomes are no longer y⁺ as reported in FBrf0066905. (Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center, 1998.5.16, FlyBase Curators, 2006-) Transmission rate of Dp(1;f)J21A through females to progeny is 28%, FM7c balancer chromosome has no effect on transmission. (Cook et al., 1997) With normal X and 2, all of chromosome 3 is effectively balanced; however, in the presence of FM6 and SM5, crossing over between y⁺ and kni (i.e., 61A2-65E) is appreciable. Not e^s according to Craymer (FBrf0063385). Some TM3 stocks have lost y⁺ (Shearn, FBrf0034377). (Lindsley and Zimm, 1992)
