The Ada2a-containing (ATAC) complex is a metazoan histone acetyltransferase complex. It positively regulates gene transcription and, although it does not have any intrinsic remodeling activity, facilitates nucleosome sliding of ISWI and SWI-SNF families of chromatin-remodeling complexes. Notes on Group
ATAC has 3 subunits in common with the SAGA complex (Gcn5, Ada3, Sgf29).
